JJEC offers Mandarin classes for children. The emphasis for teaching children Mandarin is on learning a beginning Mandarin vocabulary through songs, games and story telling in a fun and relaxed environment. This is not an immersion program and English is also spoken in the classroom. The children will work on Mandarin vocabulary appropriate to their level of learning. Simple words and phrases and some character recognition is taught through worksheets and stories of China.There is discussion and introduction to Chinese culture through crafts and songs. Class size is limited to 6 students. Children's Class Schedule: September 2009 to June 2010, every Sundays, for age 3yrs+ Monkey Group 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Private Family Class, teacher will bring Mandarin fun acitives to your home, parents and child will learn home basic phrases step by step. Max of 3 family members in lesson, 12 lessons as one term. Ready for your baby This is a special class for parents who are going to China to meet their adoped toddler/pre-schooler. you will learn such as " are you hungry?" " do you wanna go to washroom?" " are you cool?" in Mandrain to help you communicated with your child, it is a very helpful program before you head to China. Fee: $100/person, $180/couple. material $25
